This ain't your mama's clay mask. Well, it is, but it's got kick-ass herbs.
This layered mask is especially great for all aging skin issues,
but is also fabulous for acne and as a weekly skin treatment for all skin types.
I have formulated it to focus on
balanced nutrition and included herbs that have been
proven to help aging skin cells regain plumpness and resiliency.
When using a clay mask, it is very important to NOT leave it on until it is completely dry. At the dry phase, it is pulling every bit of goodness and elasticity out of the skin and leaving it a papery dry itchy mess. Remove mask once it has started to dry, but when it still has moisture in it next to skin. Remember, "once it cracks, you can't go back." Meaning that you can't topically replenish the goodness you were trying to put into it once the clay has pulled it all out. You can keep the mask moist by misting with water or toner, wearing in a steamy shower.
The Ingredients:
Dead Sea Clay is extremely nourishing and has a long tradition of use for all kinds of skin problems. It has a wealth of minerals that the skin requires to heal.
French Green Clay is one of the mildest of absorptive clays. It is gentle and detoxifies the skin by pulling out impurities and increasing blood flow.
Meadowsweet is a wonderful source of naturally occurring salicylic acid, which we know improves the skin's ability to retain moisture (plump those cells back up!). It is also a wonderful anti-inflammatory and has a soothing effect on skin.
Maca Root has now been studied as a topical and the results are fascinating. It is shown to be a high protectant for skin against UV radiation! Science doesn't yet understand HOW it does this, we what we know for sure it that there is something nutritive in Maca that boosts the skin's ability to protect itself.
Coffee has long been used to lift and tighten the skin. Caffeic acid is a great skin booster and also helps these other ingredients get absorbed better.
Horse Chestnut is a dreamy gel-like herb that boosts collagen production and nourishes the skin deeply to help it boost moisture and healing.
Rose Petals are powdered and added for your pure enjoyment. We need at least ONE just-for-fun ingredient :-)
Aloe Vera, as we all know, is one of the most wide-scope skin treatments. It is not only anti-bacterial and helps wounds heal faster, but also improves the integrity and quality of your skin.
Olive Leaf improves skin texture and lessens the time it takes to rejuvenate new cells. ONE STUDY CITES: "It was also found to inhibit the effects of both acute and chronic UVB‐induced skin damage as well as accelerate wound healing activity." Wonderful!
I covet this mask! I just entered my forty’s and my skin was looking a little looser and a little older. This mask is exactly what I need! I like to add a little avocado in my mask with a bit of Georgia Sweet and I’m good to go. You can use this as is or add anything your skin needs. Like all the other Brazen Bee products, this one does exactly what it says!

love!
Though I've only used this mask twice, I am very pleased. It smells amazing and makes my face feel great. I prefer to mix it with yogurt, oil, or an oil/water combo, but it's still nice with just water.
