Review: Yes To Tomatoes Acne Control Gel Cleanser

Feb 17th 2015

I have more than one client who has come to me crying from a bout with Yes To Tomatoes or Yes to Carrots. Even I used to buy their products thinking they were sooooo cool. It can take a while to pull someone away from the idea that a company is all natural when they have green-washed your brain so totally.Active Ingredient: 1. Salicylic Acid 1% Inactive Ingredients: 2. Water, 3. Lauryl Glucoside, 4. Cocamidopropyl Betaine, 5. Propanediol, 6. Glycerin, 7. Sodium Chloride,8. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf … read more
Whipped Argan Body Butters: why so expensive??

Whipped Argan Body Butters: why so expensive??

Jan 15th 2015

These heavenly bodies were meant for your heavenly body- the whole darn thing!! I looked hard for affordable Argan lotions that actually had quality ingredients. The closest thing I found was Josie Maran’s at Sephora. Then my heart sank. I hate to be such a party pooper, but I am really serious about staying away from olive or coconut oil to oil cleanse. This is a fad. I have noticed that other small makers of skin care products, like me, are coming out about olive oil and coconut. Let the truth be known. Both of these oils are great at the very beginning of use. Perhaps this is because it is the first time someone is oil cleansing and an improvement would be had with just about any oil. But beware that in a month or two, maybe … read more

Eat Coconut Oil for Acne: One Clients Story

Posted by Courtney Henslee on Jan 6th 2015

I have a great client who came to me for cystic acne more than a year ago. We went through a wide array of topical treatments that did help some, but still dealt with occasionally out of control skin. I continued to rack my brain for what we should do. I don't stop until it's gone. That's the whole "uncompromising passion" line. EffOff helped, Chally Ha! helped, SHU healing moisturizer helped.... but I knew something else was up. I had her keep a food diary so we could see if there was any … read more
