DESCRIPTION
Like an icy gust of wind, Peppermint Essential Oil (Japanese) exhibits a refreshingly crisp and sharp aroma that evokes a sense of vitality. The "hot frost" sensation of Peppermint stems from its main constituents, Menthol and Menthone, making it an indispensable ingredient for cosmetics and aromatherapy. It's a powerhouse for holistic wellness.
Also known as Corn Mint, there are several species of the mentha arvensis, a perennial herb that can grow to 1 meter (3 feet) in height. One of the oldest documented medicinal herbs, it has hairy leaves with serrated edges and spiked purple flowers, and spreads by way of underground runners. Peppermint Japanese is known for a high menthol content, and menthol crystals sometimes form right on the leaves.
